58-year-old Mark William Callaway, famous for “The Undertaker”, did not hesitate to stand in front of a shark that swam near the beach to protect his wife.
His wife, Michelle McCall, filmed him standing as the shark swam close to shore.
McCall later tweeted that it turns out the shark does not actually attack people, but she said her husband did not know that at the time of the event.
“I was enjoying reading a book on the beach when this fish, very much like a shark, was here,” McCall wrote on Twitter.
And she continued, “It was real .. but just a big, beautiful shark, that does not mean that the cute Undertaker knew that.”
She also shared separate shots of the animal drifting around the shallows, before eventually starting to swim away and back into the sea.
Undertaker did not respond to his wife’s tweets.
McCool, 40, married The Undertaker, who is 18 years her senior, in 2010 and they have a child.
Undertaker has been married three times and has a son from his first wife and two daughters from his second wife.
McCall did not mention the location at the time of the accident, and the newspaper “Daily Mail” said that the Undertaker’s courage was amazing given that shark attacks have become common.
There has been an increase in attacks in New York and Florida, and 19 shark attacks have been reported in the United States this year alone.
