Nearly half (44%) of online shoppers say they’ll give up on a purchase if delivery is too late. That’s what the yearbook says Trends 2022, made in partnership between Octadesk and Opinion Box. The data also reveals that users expect more speed from e-commerce companies, since 73% expect ultra-fast delivery offers.
The survey also pointed out that 25% of consumers would stop buying from a store that does not offer same-day deliveries, and 64% say they are influenced by the deadline when choosing.
“Fast deliveries are a fundamental point of the customer experience and, in order to be able to offer quality service, it must work precisely from the capture of the raw material to the final delivery”, says Josué de Souza, partner from J3 Flex, a carrier focused on delivering orders for e-commerce.

The report also brings data on shipping and indicates that purchases with free delivery grew by 3 percentage points in 2022, and represent 49% of orders. “The large marketplaces in the market today do not have 100% of their demand for deliveries in their logistics operations, thousands and even millions of these deliveries are made by partner carriers”, says Souza.
Expectations are good. According to ABComm (Brazilian Association of Electronic Commerce), the expected revenue for the sector is R$ 205 billion in 2024, R$ 225 billion in 2025, R$ 248 billion in 2026, and R$ 273 billion in 2027. made up mostly of people aged 35 to 44, from class C and residents of the Southeast region.
