A French leak reveals the prices in euros of the two new folding smartphones from Samsung.

Galaxy Unpacked on July 26, 2023 is just around the corner. It is during this next conference that we expect the presentation of the brand’s new folding smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
The two smartphones have already been the subject of numerous leaks and we already have a good idea of their design and their characteristics. Now, we think we know the price list that will be practiced by Samsung in France.
An increase of around 100 euros
Unfortunately, this leak comes across as bad news. Samsung prices seem to be up compared to the 2022 generation. This leak comes to us from billbil-kun for Dealabs, which has proven its reliability with previous leaks. Here is the price list:
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 256 Go : 1899 euros ;
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 512 Go : 2039 euros ;
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 1 To : 2279 euros.
Frandroid is able to corroborate the price of the 256 GB model with our own source. Compared to the launch price of the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Samsung increases the price by 100 euros for each configuration.
Here is for the Galaxy Z Flip 5:
256 Go : 1 199 euros ;
512 Go : 1 339 euros.
There is more to be said here regarding the price difference. Indeed, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 would cost 90 euros more than the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in its time, but with a difference in size. Indeed, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 would integrate 256 GB of basic storage where the Galaxy Flip 4 offered 128 GB.
Probably a way for Samsung to take the pill out of what remains an increase in the price of the device. A year-over-year increase in storage being a natural evolution that is usually expected without a price increase.
