Sergio Perez finished sixth at Silverstone and is now 99 points behind Max Verstappen in the individual standings. The Red Bull Racing driver believes that lack of luck prevented him from achieving a better result at the last stage.

“Nothing worked out in the race,” Racingnews365 quoted Sergio Perez as saying. – I had a great start, but on the first lap, Esteban Ocon squeezed me out of the track, and I lost positions, which I then had to win back with difficulty. On the first stint, I loaded the tires too much, so I had to pit three laps before the safety car arrived. If it weren’t for problems with tires, I wouldn’t have gone to the pits so early.

I gave my best and did everything I might, but it was very difficult to win back positions, especially closer to the finish line, when everyone rode the same composition, and there was no difference in speed due to tires.

At high speeds, it is difficult to closely follow other cars, as some of the downforce is lost. If I had been more fortunate, I would have finished a little higher.”
