VBA 5×5 2023 officially started on June 10, 2023 in Hanoi. It is expected that this year’s season will have a total of 74 matches organized according to the centralized competition model (Centralized) combining home and away with the competition of 7 clubs in cities including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, and Hanoi. Nha Trang, Da Nang and Can Tho.
Specifically:
– June 10, 2023-September 3, 2023: Group stage with 63 matches
– September 07, 2023 – September 15, 2023: Semi-final with 6 matches expected
– September 17, 2023 – September 30, 2023: Final with 5 matches expected
In particular, in the group stage, the teams will meet 3 times instead of 2 times like VBA 2022. Therefore, the number of matches will be increased to 63 matches (up 50% compared to 2022).
The first 21 matches will be organized by VBA in a centralized competition model at Cau Giay Gymnasium (35 Tran Quy Kien, Dich Vong Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi) from June 10, 2023 to June 30, 2023.
The remaining matches of the season will be held according to the home-away model in the localities of 7 clubs.
