Traffic jams are inevitable
Vienna (OTS) – The ÖAMTC experts remind all drivers that the final construction site regulations, namely the oncoming traffic area, will be in place in the area of the western entrance in the 13th district from July 11th. Traffic leaving the city will be diverted from Hütteldorfer Bridge (near P+R Hütteldorf) for twelve months via the western entrance area. The route remains open in both directions. Two lanes are provided for each direction of travel (western entrance and exit). The reason for this is extensive renovation work.
The ÖAMTC recommends, if possible and sensible, to switch to the A1 via the A22 and S5 and then via the S33 or via the A2 and A21 to the A1. On the direct alternative routes via Linzer Straße or Flötzersteig or on Hadikgasse and Wientalstraße, delays will not be avoided at times.
Vacationers and commuters should find out regarding the current status in good time (ÖAMTC app!).
