Power Outages Caused by Squally Winds in Kirov Region: Updates and Solutions

Moscow. July 8. INTERFAX.RU – Power engineers eliminate local power outages caused by squally winds in 10 districts of the Kirov region, reported on the telegram channel of the regional government on Saturday.

“Local power failures were recorded in Kotelnichsky, Orlovsky, Yaransky, Orichevsky, Tuzhinsky, Sanchursky, Kiknursky, Belokholunitsky, Slobodsky and Urzhumsky districts,” the report says.

The number of subscribers who fell under the shutdown is not specified.

50 teams of power engineers are involved in eliminating the consequences of the disaster: 215 people and 70 pieces of equipment.

According to Kirovenergo, on the territory of the region storm front passeswhich brought showers, thunderstorms, squally winds with gusts up to 25 m/s.

If necessary, 145 reserve power supply sources with a total capacity of 4.9 MW can be used to supply electricity to socially significant facilities in the region, power engineers note.
