“Think you know Ransomware?” is the name of a new three-part documentary series, developed by Sophos, that comments in detail on the history, dangers, and consequences of one of the most widely used practices today to steal information and illegally profit from the data of others: Ransomware.
Thousands of cases have been made known through the press in recent years, but this series seeks to go further. Obviously with the exposure of emblematic cases, but also educating the population regarding these facts.
The available episodes
The first of the three episodes is already available subtitled in Spanish, and can be seen in its entirety on the website of Sophoscollecting testimonies from victims of some of the most famous and remembered attacks at the beginning of the 90s when the Internet began to become massive in the world, often without the necessary safeguards.
The second episode delves into the minds of old and active hackers, while the latest in the series addresses weaknesses in digital infrastructures.
