National chocolate, events and parades to celebrate Independence Day throughout Argentina

The municipalities and provinces prepared various official and folkloric activities to celebrate this July 9 the 207th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

The festivities will begin this Saturday night with lyrical galas in the main halls of the country, they will continue at 0 on Sunday with the intonation of the National Anthem and will display all the traditions with tributes, tasting of national chocolate, Tedeum masses, parades, shows artistic, dances of the pericón and gastronomic fairs.

How Córdoba will celebrate Independence Day

In Córdoba, the main celebration will take place on the esplanade of the Bicentennial Civic Center, at 9:15, led by Governor Juan Schiaretti, with the raising of flags, the traditional national chocolate and the protocol greeting from the provincial president, in addition to singing the stanzas of the National Anthem, in an activity that will be open to all residents who want to come.

This Saturday, at 9:00 p.m., the Homeland Evening will take place at the Libertador General San Martín theater, with the performance of the musical band Los Caligaris.

The cradle of independence, in full celebration

Tucumán, cradle of independence for being the place where the act of the declaration of a “free and independent nation” was signed, will begin the celebrations tonight at the San Martín theater, where the Provincial Cultural Entity will present the “Independence Gala ”, an extraordinary function where the Stable Orchestra will perform works by Astor Piazzolla, Alberto Ginastera and Atahualpa Yupanqui, with free admission.

On Sunday, at 8:30 a.m., the national chocolate will be held on the esplanade of the Tucuman Government House, where the authorities will share the traditional hot drink with the neighbors who come to the place and then raise the flag at 9:30 a.m. on the mast of Plaza Independencia, while the Te Deum will take place at 10 o’clock in the Cathedral, while the central act will take place at the Museo Nacional Casa Histórica.

Rosario will commemorate the anniversary of Independence Day with a great popular festival, which will include a parade, musical performances, fairs, gastronomy and an exhibition of vintage cars, with free admission, starting at 9 am on Sunday in front of the monument to General Manuel Belgrano and next to the mast located in the Parque de la Independencia on Boulevard Oroño and Avenida Lugones.

According to the commune, at 10 o’clock the parade of different traditionalist groups on horseback will begin, among them the Gaucho Groups of the Province and the Gaucho Federation of Santa Fe, following which the national holiday will begin at noon, with a dance patio, open classes of zamba, gato and chacarera, ballet and music by DJ Zulema, following which Sol García, Nélida Argentina Zenón, Lele Lovato and Los Carabajal will perform.

In Mendoza, the Patriotic Evening stands out, which on Saturday from 9:00 p.m. will be performed at the Independencia Theater by the local Philharmonic Orchestra and the Tito Francia Municipal Guitar Orchestra, who will unite their talents to offer a folk music concert, with special symphonic arrangements.

In San Rafael, in the southern province, at 10 p.m. on Saturday at the Real del Padre Sports Center, the Gala Evening will be held, with artistic shows and the participation of the Police Music Band that, at midnight, will perform the National Anthem National and activities continue on Sunday.

In Salta, the official acts will be held in the town of La Caldera, which on that day will be declared, through a protocol decree, Capital of the Province for one day. At 9.45, the flags will be hoisted there and at 10 at the Nuestra Señora del Rosario church the Tedeum will be held, to conclude with the traditional civic-military parade.

Entre Ríos will receive the anniversary from Saturday at 8:30 p.m., with a Gala Patria at the Paraná Provincial Convention Center (CPC) that will have the Adriana Varela show as the main figure, with free admission.

In San Luis, the activities will be concentrated in the city of Villa Mercedes, 90 kilometers from the San Luis capital, with the Tedeum in charge of Bishop Gabriel Barba and the civic-military parade, where more than 8,000 people will make their way, representing more than 160 educational, sports and cultural institutions in the province.

Meanwhile, in the replica of the house in Tucumán, located in the Patriotic Park in the city of La Punta, there will be shows starting at 11 am and recreations by artists who will represent life in 1816, a craft fair, food court and the exquisite chocolate with pancakes
