To start the summer holidays, the Florida is outside the walls. From July 10 to 13, in partnership with the Agglomeration of Agen, the team will organize creative workshops in Tayrac for young audiences.
The Florida is accustomed to introducing children and teenagers to the joys of creation. Over four days, the town hall of Tayrac will serve as the incubation site. In partnership with the municipalities of Saint-Maurin and Saint-Urcisse in addition to the agglo d’Agen, Tayrac will welcome 5-17 year olds for beatbox workshops, short films or even web radio. A whole range of themes!
A radio show
For the youngest (5-8 years old), it will be a musical awakening. We train! In French, “on stage”. With Sylvain and Delphine, they will be able to discover the joys of group life… Turning the knobs of an amp, singing into a real microphone, strumming the guitar or teasing the drums, writing their own text, finding the rhythm and the melody that are doing well… Vocations will perhaps see the light of day.
For their part, 9-12 year olds will be able to improvise themselves as web journalists. Welcome to the world of radio chronicles, podcasts and streaming. Together, they will make a live radio show and choose their themes. They will also have the opportunity to have fun around the Infernal Sound Machine, one of Florida’s great specialties. It looks like a large on-board computer, but it is first and foremost a musical instrument, where eight people can all play music together. Good to know: no experience is required!
Initiation au beatbox
The 12-17 year olds will be entitled to a video workshop. They will edit their own short film, from writing to directing, including editing, sound recording and framing. Science fiction, drama, comedy or horror, the choice is theirs. You will also have to prepare your acting…
Finally, for all ages, an initiation to beatbox workshop is also planned. Under the direction of Kenôzen, French duo champion in 2018, all the volunteers (without age limit) will travel in the world of “music with the mouth”.
Great day on July 13, because it will be the time for the restitution of the workshops. Everyone will be able to see the youth productions, performed live or broadcast, depending on the activities. Kenôzen will take care of the show by offering a beatbox concert.
