Robert Schuman Hospitals
Small malaise in the hospital system: Dr. Philippe Turk is no longer deputy director general in the hospital network of the Kirchberg Hospital and the ZithaKlinik.
(BB) – Dr. Philippe Turk is no longer deputy director general of the “Hôpitaux Robert Schuman” hospital group, which includes the Kirchberg hospital and the ZithaKlinik. The specialist in gastrointestinal diseases resigned from his post last week, as the “Luxemburger Wort” found out.
It was initially said that an “amicable” agreement had been reached. However, the hospital group did not want to comment when asked. His work as a specialist will be Dr. Turk in the capital’s ZithaKlinik. The 61-year-old doctor might not be reached for an explanation on Monday.
Philippe Turk took over the management post in the hospital group in March 2014 when the Fondation François-Elisabeth (Kirchberg Hospital, Clinique Bohler, Clinique Sainte-Marie) and the ZithaKlinik merged. He was previously director of the ZithaKlinik. With the merger, the private hospital providers wanted to strengthen their medical offerings – also with regard to a new division of tasks in the national hospital plan.
Zitha remains in the station district
Parliament confirmed the importance of the ZithaKlinik in March 2015 and approved a modernization and expansion of the facility. The public sector contributes 55.5 million euros. During the debate, the MPs emphasized that the location in the station district will be retained.
However, it is said that there were differences of opinion within the hospital group regarding the division of tasks at the various locations.
