Quebecers are not out of the woods

Even if the phenomenon of global warming is understood and accepted by a majority of Quebecers, many of them are nevertheless convinced that Quebec will be relatively spared, considering that the temperature is colder there than in other parts of the earth where are mostly concentrated in humans.

But we see, with the spectacular forest fires that have been raging for a few weeks, that we will not be spared. Remember that Montreal was recently the city where the air was the worst in the world (this will be remembered); many were struggling to breathe. In short, we will have a front row seat to observe the depressing spectacle of the planet going up in flames, not in the henhouse. At the rate our forests go up in smoke, they will have disappeared by the end of the century, and we will be forced to import wood. The last caribou and wolverines will live in covered zoos.
