Changes in Military Command: Minister of Defense and High Command Ratification

The commanders of the army, GNB, navy and militia were changed. That of aviation was ratified.

Vladimir Padrino López was ratified as Minister of Defense by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, in the midst of the graduation of more than a thousand officers and promotions within the military components.

In addition, General in Chief Domingo Hernández Lárez was also ratified at the head of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb).

There were some changes in the commands of the different components.

In the army, Major General José Antonio Murga Batista takes the lead, as in the navy, who will be in charge is Admiral Nain Villamizar Sánchez.

In the Bolivarian National Guard, Major General Elio Estrada, who was in the Bolivarian National Police, takes over. Major General Marcano Tabata will be in the militia.

While Santiago Infante was ratified in aviation.

Maduro thanked those who leave their positions for their “excellent work” and indicated that new tasks and tasks will come for it.
