We have already heard regarding many ways to promote cryptocurrencies, but now we can report on a more unique case. Argentinian Bitcoin enthusiast Ariel Aguilar is traveling in a Bitcoin-themed van across Europe to help promote the world’s best-known cryptocurrency. The van called La Bitcoineta has toured several countries in Europe. He participated in various events and conferences, where he held lectures and discussions with the participants. During an interview, the driver of the van reported both the best and worst experiences of the trip. According to Aguilar, part of the tour led across the border between Bosnia and Croatia. According to the Argentine, he wanted to wait until midnight to cross the border, but this did not go unnoticed by the authorities stationed at the border. After the first check at the border, the van was stopped by an unmarked vehicle carrying five plainclothes officials. “They said they were the local police and needed to search the vehicle. They probably thought we were smuggling people. Of course, that was not the case, and we were able to move on following the inspection.” Aguilar replied. Through Europe for Bitcoin In other parts of the journey, more positive things happened to our adventurer. Aguilar pointed out that in Switzerland, for example, people expressed their admiration for the van by giving it a thumbs up. Meanwhile, in Spain and Portugal, which were believed to be crypto-friendly countries, the people there apparently did not even notice the presence of La Bitcoineta. The vehicle has traveled through Spain, Gibraltar, Portugal, Andorra, Switzerland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Norway, Romania and Serbia and is scheduled to continue through the Balkans. In September, they plan a trip to the UK, then Madrid, Amsterdam, before arriving in Lugano, where the big trip will end. The van even caught the attention of famous people like Michael Saylor, who was a fan of the idea. “He really liked it, especially the ‘Bitcoin is hope’ sign on the side of the vehicle.” Aguilar said of Saylor. A picture was even taken of the event, which will certainly serve as the basis for many memes. In addition, La Bitcoineta is also full of signatures and messages from famous people in the crypto world, such as Adam Back, Ammous, Jack Mallers and Elizabeth Stark. In doing so, I would like to assess the level of acceptance of Bitcoin among the residents of different states. “Suppose we choose Germany and France as targets. The idea is to interview a French bitcoiner to see if he is not just a shit coiner if he really claims to be a bitcoiner.” said Aguilar.
