After a rather mild week, temperatures will rise in the coming days. During this period, it is important to stay well hydrated and drink plenty of water. It is even advisable to drink at least 1.5 liters of water a day (and we are not going to lie to each other, we are often far from the mark). To change from the bland glass of water, why not turn to fruits and vegetables? Some are particularly rich in water and will be much more delicious to enjoy all day. In addition to hydrating you, they will also provide you with fiber, vitamins and antioxidants.

1 – Cucumber (96% water)

This fruit (consumed as a vegetable) is by far the richest in water. Cucumber can be eaten in many different ways: in salads, in gazpacho, in tzatzíki, in juice… Other advantages, cucumber is low in calories and contains vitamins K, C and A, as well as potassium, magnesium, calcium and iron. No reason not to succumb!

2 – Radish (95.9% water)

As surprising as it may seem, radish is richer in water than grapefruit or watermelon. Low in calories, radishes are perfect for hydrating and refreshing us without making us fat.

3 – Green salad (95% water)

The green salad has the good points: 95% water, very low in calories (15Kcal/100g), rich in fiber (ensures good transit), rich in vitamin B9 (essential for cell renewal), rich in vitamin C, rich in calcium, iron and antioxidants.

Each variety of salad has its own advantages. For maximum hydration, prefer lettuce or escarole. For a salad richer in antioxidants, consider the red or green frisee. For a richer in vitamin C, it will be the lamb’s lettuce.

4 – Tomato (94.1% water)

8 – Melon (90% water)

The summer fruit par excellence: the melon is eaten as well as a starter or a dessert. Rich in water, with a slightly sweet taste, the melon delights our taste buds.
