The use of artificial intelligence to optimize processes and streamline daily work is no longer exclusive to large corporations and, today, it is also a competitive factor for law firms and legal departments of companies of all sizes. In this new scenario, Fácil has just launched a new functionality for the legal system Espaider, which uses AI to summarize documents quickly and easily.
With Parker, Easy’s artificial intelligence tool integrated into ChatGPT, the lawyer or legal representative for the company will be able to synthesize legal texts in three different ways. In “General summary”, it is possible to summarize procedural documents, contracts, scientific articles and a diversity of texts; the “Summary that motivated the process” serves to condense information from initial petitions, for example, and the “Summary of the line of defense adopted” focuses on disputes.
To use this feature, just click on the “Resummary document” button present in the document registration. While the artificial intelligence summarizes the text, the user can continue browsing the software normally, as the system itself notifies you on the screen when the summary is ready.
This first version of the new functionality of Espaider includes documents in pdf and not only in Portuguese, but also in other languages. This means that it is possible to request a summary of a document in another language via the system – and quickly obtain the result in Portuguese.
“With this integration between Parker and ChatGPT, the process of daily document summaries, so necessary for law firms and corporate legal departments, is even more practical and faster. In the tests carried out in Espaider, we concluded that the processing time per page varies between 2 and 3.5 seconds. That is, a 20-page document, for example, takes approximately one minute to be ready, in a concise and coherent summary in a few paragraphs”, says Bruno Felipe Bauler, executive director of Fácil.
