Ford announced in October 2022 a restructuring of the range and preparation for the transition to electric cars, the plan being that from 2030 the company will sell only electric cars in Europe. As part of the restructuring, and to make room for the new electric models, it was decided to remove the Fiesta, S-Max and Galaxy models from the range.
Even if the Fiesta disappears, Ford has in its range a model produced in Romania that is doing very well: the Puma, produced in Craiova, which from 2024 will also have an electric version. Puma sales in Europe were double that of the Fiesta.
