This innovation meeting aims to identify, promote and accelerate project leaders (startups, small and medium-sized enterprises) who carry out eco-innovative initiatives (solutions and services) in line with development imperatives. and sustainability of Mediterranean and African territories.

Thus, the projects presented must fall within one of the following areas: “Innovating in energy in the face of climate change”; “Optimizing the management of water resources”; “Encourage the reuse of materials”; “Encourage soft mobility”.

The structures must also have the potential to be implemented within the scope of Euroméditerranée’s intervention, and more broadly within that of the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis.

The rules of this competition provide that following a first selection on file, five finalists will be invited to present their projects to the jury of the Med’Innovant Africa competition as part of the 7th edition of the Emerging Valley international summit, on November 27 and 28. next, in the Aix-Marseille-Provence area. A unique opportunity to strengthen their visibility and set up international partnerships.

Therefollowing, Euroméditerranée will designate two winners: the “jury prize” and the “favorite prize”. Both will benefit from “a financial boost” of up to 7,000 euros and personalized support from the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem, to help them find investors and industrial partners in Europe and Africa. They will also be able to experiment with their solutions on the territory of the EcoCité.

With this competition, the Euroméditerranée Public Development Establishment confirms its commitment to the search for innovative solutions in the service of regional development and its policy of opening up to the African continent.

The previous edition of the competition had received more than 120 applications from across the African continent. The company Wayout Ecological Solution won the jury prize and GreenBox the favorite prize.
