Here is the Jeep Avenger in its petrol version © Jeep
The small American SUV becomes available with a 100 hp 1.2 petrol unit from the Stellantis group. The price is obviously largely deflated compared to the electric version.
Jeep had decided to launch its little Avenger, crossover voted Car of the Year 2023, only with an electric motor. In this case, that of the Peugeot e-2008, e-208, DS3 and other electric Opel Mokka. But with our Spanish or Italian neighbours, Jeep had decided to offer a gasoline variant that did not cross our borders. Till today ! Discreetly, Jeep has indeed introduced the gasoline version with the 1.2 PureTech 100 hp block. A version that obviously drastically lowers the rating compared to the electric Jeep Avenger, but the two are simply incomparable. The first will probably make volumes, and the volté Avenger will ensure the blow by lowering the CO2 mix of Jeep in France and in Europe. The policy of maximum declination of engines in each manufacturer of the group will in any case not take long to deploy at Jeep.

If you fell for the face of the small American crossover but the €39,000 (excluding bonus) requested was too high, the gasoline version should interest you. Jeep has chosen to take over the entry-level electric Avenger in Altitude finish but adding some equipment. The petrol Avenger is therefore exclusively sold in the Altitude+ finish with the following equipment:
Nav Comfort Pack (Information on traffic signs, JBL® 8-speaker 300W premium hi-fi system, 180° reversing camera, Enter-N-Go®: keyless opening and starting system) Keyless start Tailgate electric hands-freeUconnect™ 10.25” touchscreen system with wireless Apple CarPlay™/Android Auto™ and navigationWireless smartphone charger17” Silver Gloss alloy wheelsFront center armrestRain sensor (automatic wipers)Automatic climate controlParking brake electricStorage PackModular and reversible boot floorUSB-C socket in 2nd rowHill Descent ControlAutonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detectionAdaptive cruise controlSelec-Terrain: 6 driving modesInflation kit (Fix & Go)Speed cameras reversingLED headlightsBody-colour door handlesGloss Black exterior mirrors10.25” digital instrument clusterUconnect™ Services connected services
This Avenger 1.2 100 hp is only sold with a six-speed manual gearbox, at a price of €27,000. Counting the €5,000 bonus on the electric Avenger and the €100 penalty on the petrol Avenger, the difference is ultimately €6,900 between the two. A particularly interesting thermal offer, but ultimately equivalent to the entry-level cousin Peugeot 2008 with the same engine.
