So we already have a date, it will be in 12 days. There isn’t much left, although we already knew that its release would take place in July, so it’s a pretty normal day within the expected range.
It will take place at 3:00 p.m. Spanish time on that Tuesday, it will be the moment where we will have all the final details regarding this GPU, although there is nothing to indicate that it will be different than the version already on sale, the 8 GB RTX 4060 Ti. In this case we will only see the improvement only in what has been said, going from 8 GB to 16 GB.
At this time, hundreds of users will acquire that graphics card, but we will still have to wait for the time it takes to ship and for those who get one to try it, unless some means can have early access. , that day we will only see it available in store, nothing more.
The tests will give us the result on this GPU, although, if there are no more changes than those known, its power will not be very different from the one we have already tested, and, therefore, it may not be a great sales success in a medium term. It will continue to maintain TDP 160W, bandwidth up to 288 GB/s, frequency of 2.5 GHz, etc.
At the price level, 549 euros, which is equivalent to €110 more than its 8 GB version, and since we don’t expect the performance difference to be very big… it makes us doubt whether that value will really be a good purchase. But above all we will be cautious and wait for the first performance tests.
Anyway, finding the Radeon RX 6800 XT for the same price or a little more and theoretically 30% faster than the RTX 4060 Ti in 4K conditions (where we see the differences the most), either they drop in price or opt for this new one… it’s going to be a lot of risk.
At the moment we have to wait, a couple more weeks, for the time it takes for the first tests to be done, although we believe that they will be the same day they receive it and then we will talk with the data in hand.
As soon as we have official comparisons, we will show them to you once more and we will see which model for the same starting price is more worth it, if this 4060 Ti of 16 GB or another. We do not marry anyone, we will always look for the best potency at the lowest price, and whoever gives it to us will be our favourite. So see you soon.
