There are several natural ways to help whiten teeth, and most of these treatments gently remove surface stains from teeth.

In the following lines, the conference reviews the most prominent natural methods that help whiten teeth, according to what was published on the “health line” website.

baking soda
Baking soda has natural whitening properties, which is why it is used in many commercial toothpastes. It is a mild abrasive that can help scrub surface stains on the teeth, and baking soda creates an alkaline environment in the mouth, which prevents bacteria from growing.
Several studies show that toothpaste containing baking soda can improve dental health and may have a whitening effect.
One study found that toothpastes containing baking soda were more effective at reducing plaque, gingivitis, and bleeding than regular toothpaste without baking soda.
Another review concluded that toothpastes containing baking soda may be more effective at removing stains and whitening teeth than other types of toothpaste.
Use hydrogen peroxide
Hydrogen peroxide is a natural bleaching agent that kills bacteria in the mouth.
One study found that toothpaste with a higher amount of hydrogen peroxide was more effective at whitening teeth following 12 weeks than toothpastes with a lower amount.
Another study found that toothpaste containing hydrogen peroxide was more effective than other types of toothpaste, including charcoal and abrasive toothpastes, at reducing discoloration caused by coffee.
Eat fruits and vegetables
A diet rich in fruits and vegetables may be good for the body and teeth, while they are not a substitute for brushing them, but crunchy and raw fruits and vegetables can help get rid of plaque during chewing.
Strawberries and pineapples are two types of fruits that are claimed to help whiten teeth.
the strawberry
Teeth whitening with a mixture of strawberries and baking soda is a natural remedy made famous by celebrities. Proponents of this method claim that the malic acid in strawberries will remove discoloration, while the baking soda will remove stains.
Strawberries may also help exfoliate the teeth and make them appear whiter, as it is less likely to penetrate the stains on the teeth.
And a 2015 study found that a mixture of strawberries and baking soda produced little change in the color of teeth, compared to other whitening products.
pineapple
Some claim that pineapple can whiten teeth.
One study found that a gel made with bromelain, an enzyme found in pineapple, can help remove tooth stains, however there is no evidence that eating pineapple produces the same effect.
Brushing and flossing teeth
Teeth discoloration is often associated with age, but it is largely caused by plaque buildup. Regular brushing and flossing can help keep teeth white by reducing bacteria in the mouth and preventing plaque buildup.
How can you prevent tooth stains before they happen?
While teeth naturally yellow with age, certain things can help prevent stains on the teeth, including:
Limit your intake of foods and beverages that stain your teeth, such as coffee, red wine, soda, and dark berries. Brushing your teeth approximately 60 minutes following consuming one of these foods or beverages helps reduce their effect on the color of your teeth.
Limit or avoid smoking and tobacco use, as both can cause discoloration of teeth.
Cut back on sugar for whiter teeth. A diet high in sugar supports the growth of Streptococcus mutans, the main type of bacteria that causes plaque and gingivitis.
– Increase calcium in the diet to strengthen the tooth enamel to keep it pearly white, and calcium-rich foods, such as: milk, cheese and broccoli, may help protect the teeth from enamel erosion.
