SBB ticket sales have been restricted since Thursday 10 a.m. The technical disruption affects all channels: online apps, vending machines and even staffed counters at train stations.
An SBB spokesman told the Keystone-SDA news agency at noon that the experts responsible were working to fix the problem. The reason is not yet known. It is also not yet possible to estimate how long the disruption will last.
The train staff was informed and travel was not affected, the spokesman said in a statement from SBB on its website. There, SBB also gave travelers tips on how to deal with the disruption.
