Increased thirst and the constant desire to urinate occur because with diabetes the kidneys do not follow their normal rhythm, so glucose is excreted in the urine and carries away the fluids present in the tissues. This generates excessive thirst and therefore frequent urination.

Diabetes

“Diabetes is a chronic (long-lasting) disease that affects the way the body converts food into energy. Your body breaks down most of the food you eat into sugar (also called glucose) and releases it into your bloodstream. The pancreas produces a hormone called insulin, which acts like a key that allows blood sugar to enter the cells of the body so that they use it for energy ”, explains the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“With diabetes, your body either doesn’t make enough insulin or can’t properly use the insulin it does make. When there isn’t enough insulin or cells stop responding to insulin, too much sugar remains in the bloodstream, and over time, this can cause serious health problems, such as heart disease, vision loss, and kidney disease. ”, adds the entity.

High levels of sugar or glucose in the blood cause in the first instance a state that is known clinically as prediabetes. This is reversible, to eliminate it the only thing necessary is to adopt a healthy lifestyle, this in order to lower the values of glucose in the bloodstream.

However, if action is not taken to lower blood glucose, a doctor ends up declaring diabetes as such. So that the quality of life does not decrease with this disease, it is advisable to follow the instructions of the doctors. These include exercising regularly and avoiding the consumption of foods rich in sugar.

It is worth mentioning that diabetes is a disease that is classified into three classes. The first of these is type 1 (it is not so common) and it arises when the body mistakenly attacks itself due to the non-production of insulin.

The second is type 2 diabetes (the most common), it occurs because the body does not use insulin as it should. The third class is gestational diabetes, which only attacks pregnant women.
