Both were in charge of a farm in the state of Táchira.
What began as an argument over an attack of “jealousy and rage” ended with the death of a couple in the state of Táchira.
It happened in the town of Bramón, in the Junín municipality, La Nación reported.
Apparently Elfido Antonio López Trigos, 44 years old, attacked his partner with a knife, in the El Hatillo farm, El Pabellón sector, on the Los Liberales de Bramón curve.
The woman, Rosa Isabel Toca Méndez, 42, dedicated to household chores, bled to death outside the house.
The man, before fleeing the crime scene, left a note telling what happened, as reported.
One of the couple’s sons found his mother dead and reported it to the authorities. Detectives from the Homicide Brigade of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) arrived there to initiate the investigations.
They began looking for the subject and found him lifeless in a wooded area of the town.
The first forensic tests carried out by criminal experts indicate that he had no signs of violence, so everything points to the fact that he would have taken his own life by ingesting some type of toxic substance.
Both were Colombian, but they resided in Táchira, since they were in charge of the farm.
