A number of banks impose a monthly fine on customer accounts that are less than the minimum account opening due to the increase in the cost of operating funds, and the customer’s non-compliance with the minimum account opening limit.

The value of the fees imposed on the accounts, in the event that they are less than the minimum amount for opening the account, varies from one bank to another, according to the policy of each bank.

In the following lines, Masrawy presents the value of the monthly fees approved by 5 banks in the event that the balance of the regular account falls below the minimum balance.

Banque Misr: 10 pounds will be deducted monthly if the balance falls below 3,000 pounds.

Commercial International Bank (CIB): approves 75 pounds per month if the balance falls below the minimum, 20 thousand pounds on the Prime account, and 50 thousand pounds on the Plus account.

Emirates NBD: imposes 20 pounds per month if the balance is less than 5 thousand pounds.

Credit Agricole Bank: approves 30 pounds per month if the account balance is less than 3 thousand pounds.

First Abu Dhabi Bank: If the balance is less than 10,000 pounds, a fine of 250 pounds per month will be imposed on the Select account, and 500 pounds on the Elite account.
