After entering July, Ningbo Airport is also in full swing. It is expected to guarantee 2.46 million passengers in the summer, an increase of nearly 43% year-on-year; nearly 18,000 flights are guaranteed, an increase of nearly 20% year-on-year. Wenzhou Airport is expected to guarantee 2.3 million passengers and nearly 17,000 flights, a year-on-year increase of nearly 60% and 35% respectively.
In order to cope with the peak wave of passengers during the summer season, the airports of Zhejiang Airport Group actively connect with airlines, optimize the layout of the route network, and increase the number of popular routes and flights. For example, Hangzhou Airport will increase a number of overseas routes during the July summer season, including Air China increasing its Bangkok route to one flight per day; Xiamen Airlines increasing its Singapore route to one flight per day; Vietnam Vietjet Airlines increasing its Nha Trang route to one flight per day ; AirAsia has increased its Kuala Lumpur route to three times a week; Indonesian Sulawi Jaya Air has increased its Bali route to three times a week.
Ningbo Airport will also add domestic routes from Ningbo to Shihezi, Ningbo to Baotou, and Ningbo to Hailar from July 6. Among them, the direct flight to Shihezi was opened for the first time at Ningbo Airport. Regarding the addition and recovery of overseas routes, starting from July 2, the non-stop route from Ningbo to Tokyo will be increased; from the 3rd, the route from Ningbo to Budapest will be increased; from the 4th, two passenger routes between Ningbo and Nha Trang and Kalibo will be opened. In the future, passenger routes to and from Osaka and Fukuoka will be resumed successively to provide more convenience for overseas students and business travelers in Ningbo.
Wenzhou Airport also added a number of routes during the summer travel season. From July 1st to 3rd, direct flights to Hulunbuir, Datong, and Baotou have been continuously added, and a new Yangzhou route will be opened on the 11th; in terms of international regions, the Kalibo route to the Philippines will be opened on July 6th; on the 8th Airline to Bangkok opened.
Hangzhou Airport will also continue to promote the development of the Asian route network. At present, direct routes have been added or resumed to Jeju in South Korea, Phuket in Thailand, Chiang Mai in Thailand, Nha Trang in Vietnam, Bali in Indonesia, and Kalibo in the Philippines.
