The President of the Brazilian Football Confederation, Edinaldo, confirmed early this morning, Wednesday, that he had reached an official agreement with Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti to take over the technical management of the first Brazil national team, starting with the 2024 Copa America.

The Brazilian Confederation has been negotiating with Ancelotti to take over the job since last January, following the dismissal of coach Chichi, who failed to overtake Croatia in the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup.

And the modest performance of the Brazilian national team with interim coach Mano Menezes in the three friendly matches he played once morest Morocco, Guinea Conakry and Senegal, caused the Brazilian Federation to intensify its negotiations with Ancelotti.

Speaking to local media, the Brazilian Football Confederation president stressed that Carlo Ancelotti would honor his current contract with Real Madrid, which expires in June 2024.

The famous Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, published excerpts from this story through his official Twitter account, at dawn today, Wednesday, waiting for more details through the official channels of Real Madrid and the Brazilian Federation.
