Ministry of Public Health Closes Illegal Esthetic Center in Dominican Republic

Apparently it does not have the necessary titles or permits to operate.

The Ministry of Public Health of the Dominican Republic proceeded to close the center where a false “esthetic doctor” of Venezuelan nationality operated, who was “discovered” in an investigation by Channel N.

After the visit, inspectors from the Public Health Authorization Directorate went to the center and ordered its closure for violation of the General Health Law 42-01.

The Venezuelan along with a man are listed in the National Office of Industrial Property (Onapi) as the owner of the Ki Centro Médico Integral del Caribe office, located on Avenida Independencia, registered in February 2011, with the corporate purpose of “aesthetic medical services, facial and body.

This center does not have a commercial registry and is not registered with the General Directorate of Internal Taxes.

However, this is not the most serious. On his Instagram profile he identifies himself as “a specialist in facial biopolymer removal, endolifting, facial harmonization and even offers gynecological appointments with services ranging from laser rejuvenation, intimate aesthetics, lip filler to G-spot augmentation.” Another of the services that she provides is Laserlipolysis.

If you might not present your original apostilled titles, with the corresponding stamps, in four years, there is no doubt that a new element should be added to the National Plan for Title Verifications: a link between the Public Ministry, the Mescyt, Public Health and the Dominican Medical Association, so that, as in this case where irregularities were detected in an attempt to standardize titles, they are investigated and prevented from providing services as doctors when they are not doctors, plastic surgeons, much less reconstructive surgeons.

complicated procedures

The president of the Aesthetic Medicine Society, Nathalie Díaz Lazala, explained that the laser lipolysis procedure is a laser-assisted liposuction and that escapes what an aesthetic doctor performs, “because once more we do minimally invasive procedures and we are already talking regarding a invasive procedure. So, that is a procedure that plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgeons offer.”

In other words, laserlipolysis is another way of calling liposuction without making it look so aggressive.

In this sense, Díaz Lazala explained that in the face of a dramatic result, it can be taken for granted that there has been fat suction.
