Federer attends Wimbledon .. Honoring the tennis legend
Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer received an exceptional honor on the sidelines of Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam tournament of the current season, following attending today, Tuesday, at the All England Club in London, to celebrate his eight victories there throughout his career.
Federer was honored, while he was in the “Royal Box” on the main court designated for the most important personalities, when he entered amid standing ovation, and subsequently attended the Kazakh champion Yelena Rybakina and American Shelby Rogers.
The Wimbledon 2023 edition is the first edition of the tournament held on grass courts since Federer retired last year, despite not participating in 2022, who won the title 8 previous times, which is a record for men, as only American Martina Navratilova surpasses him with 9 titles.
This is Federer’s second visit to the British capital, London, in recent weeks, following he participated in the opening of two tennis courts in the south of the city, and played as a competitor once morest Princess of Wales Kate Middleton at the All England Club.
