The Chamber of Senators will convert into law and ratify the decrees with which the Government requests the exception of 24 Health professionals, so that they can receive higher salaries than Governor Rodolfo Suárez, which averages $830,000 gross.
The initiative already comes with half a sanction from the Chamber of Deputies, which voted and approved the project unanimously last week. The critical human resources specialists approached, and who will receive salaries higher than those of Governor Rodolfo Suárez, are 24 in total: five from the Cardiovascular Surgery Service and Transplant Department of the Central Hospital; fifteen from the Pediatric Intensive Care Service and Cardiovascular Surgery Recovery Service of Hospital Notti; and four from the Fleming Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Service.

The bill provides for the ratification of two decrees published in the Official Gazette. The first is from May 19 and refers to exempting “from the application of Law No. 8,727, the professionals mentioned in the annex” of the same decree; and secondly, decree 1191 in which the 24 professionals “who work as critical human resources in health care providers in the Province of Mendoza” are included in the Annex to Decree 1006/23.
In the recitals of the initiatives it is indicated that the request that is made “finds its foundation in the need to ensure the continuity of the provision of services” in different specialties, “considering its professionals as a critical human resource” and, in turn, “bearing also take into account that (these professionals) are in positions with Title Blocking, a condition that implies the exclusivity character in the provision of services or with Additional for Greater Professional Dedication, fulfilling up to 55 hours a week, in the health care providers of the province of Mendoza ”.
It should be remembered that Law 8727 is the one that establishes ceilings on the remuneration of officials, employees or contractors, who provide services in the sphere of the Executive, Legislative and Judicial Powers, including the Central Public Administration. The exceptions provided for by these decrees include more than twenty medical professionals from different healthcare centers.
