The Directorate of Health in Menoufia Governorate concluded the activities of the family planning convoys at the governorate level, through which family planning services were provided to women, and awareness of the population issue and reproductive health was done in the governorate departments.
This came in implementation of the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, and Major General Ibrahim Abu Lemon, Governor of Menoufia, on the need to implement the vision of the political leadership regarding the issue of family planning and attention to the health of mothers and children.
The events were held under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Gamal Abdel Ghani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Menoufia, and Dr. Rasha Khader, Undersecretary of the Directorate, and were organized by the Family Planning Department in the Directorate under the leadership of Dr. Amal Elaraby.
During the convoys, the religion’s opinion on the issue of family planning was introduced, and with regard to the issue of health aspects that affect the life and health of the mother. Emphasis was also presented on the availability of family planning methods, and awareness was made and the beneficiaries were informed regarding the work of the family planning convoys, and that all means are provided free of charge, including methods of planning Family – Examination – Pregnancy follow-up – Sonar – Counseling, while providing support and counseling services for women and explaining the importance of using family planning methods for the health of the mother and fetus.
