Would John Gibson want to leave the Anaheim Ducks?
Information that went in this direction, revealed by the informant of Daily Faceoff Frank Seravalli au balado Nasty Knuckleswas strongly denied by the agent of Gibson Kurt Overhardt in the evening Monday.
Invited to the “Nasty Knuckles” podcast, Seravalli launched the information at the heart of a discussion regarding Carter Hart, of the Philadelphia Flyers. In full explanation of the risks of exchanging or not the trusted man of the Flyers, Seravalli compared his case to that of Gibson.
“How do you think John Gibson has felt in Anaheim for the past 3-4 years? He gets bombarded with shots every night and when he walks into the arena he knows he has next to no chance of winning,” Seravalli first explained.
” It’s unpleasant! And guess what? John Gibson has requested a trade. I brought it back, he said ‘I’m not playing another game with the Anaheim Ducks,'” Seravalli admitted.
But in the evening, this information from Seravalli was refuted by Overhardt, of the firm KO Sports Inc. in a Twitter post.
“On July 1, 2023, an episode of the Nasty Knuckles podcast was released with inaccurate information from Frank Seravalli stating that John Gibson of the Anaheim Ducks said he no longer wanted to play another game for the Anaheim Ducks. On behalf and at the request of my client John Gibson, we would like to clarify that this statement is false, unfair and inflammatory. Frank Seravalli has not contacted my client or myself to verify the veracity of this comment,” Overhardt said.
“My client has never made such a statement to any member of the Anaheim Ducks executives. »

The past few seasons at Anaheim have been tough, as evidenced by Gibson’s 61-102-31 record over the past four seasons.
In 53 games in 2022-23, Gibson was forced to face at least 40 shots on 21 occasions. Worse still, he faced 50 or more pitches four times during the season.
At 29, Gibson is still under contract for the next four seasons, at an average annual salary of $6.4 million. He has a modified no-deal clause, which allows him to submit a list of 10 teams where he refuses to be traded.
