Wave 2 of the Ségur du numérique includes several specific provisions, in its “Imagery corridor”, which can put medical imaging players in difficulty in the field of image sharing. Medsquare, with 15 years of support for professionals in the sector, provides them with a page on its website as well as a dedicated email address.
The medical imaging sector is preparing for a major change in its practices for managing the images produced on a daily basis. Indeed, wave 2 of the Ségur du numérique, and more particularly its “Imagery corridor”, which will be launched in the fall, will see the State finance two very distinct systems so that imaging centers can comply with them, one linked to the RIS, the other centered on the sharing of images.
A national network for sharing medical images born of wave 2 of the Ségur du numérique
The image sharing device, called DRIMbox, is software that provides the interface between the imaging centers of establishments and radiology practices in order to protocolize the sharing and exchange of imaging data, thus creating a national network image sharing Drim (Data Radiology Medical Imaging & Nuclear Medicine).
The sharing of imaging data is an exception within the Ségur du Numérique. The DRIMbox system is indeed one of the richest and most complex in Ségur, with more than 200 technical requirements. Focused on access to images, it thus plays a crucial role in the evolution of sharing practices for a better quality of care. It is also entirely new and free of any constraint concerning the choice of editor. Imaging centers therefore have the freedom to acquire a DRIMbox solution other than that of their usual suppliers.
Medsquare’s advisory role in the upcoming transition period
For Medsquare, which has been supporting medical imaging professionals for more than 15 years in their digital transformation, it is essential to attract the attention of imaging players, at the same time as the CIOs of healthcare establishments and the other health professionals, on the particularities of the “Imagery corridor” device of wave 2 of the Ségur du numérique.
“Medsquare is known for its quality of advice and servicerecalls Dominique Gabriel, president of this French company. It is perfectly natural for us to help all the actors concerned to understand well what they can expect from an imagery sharing device. We therefore provide them with information regarding our site Internet and answer all their questions via a dedicated email address: [email protected]. »
The criteria for a relevant choice for the future DRIMbox solution
Damien Jeandel and Christian Ducron, experts in exchange and sharing in medical imaging, lead this information campaign at Medsquare. “Our ten years of experience in the field on regional and territorial projects, and our many exchanges with the Digital Health Agency (ANS) for 18 months, and more recently with the Digital Health Delegation (DNS), allow us to answer questions of a technical, functional or regulatory nature, specifies Christian Ducron. I invite all players in the sector to find out regarding the real stakes of such a device before making a choice. Because, in terms of short-term use and cybersecurity, performance can be very different from one solution to another depending on how the DNS specifications are interpreted. »
