Al-Ittihad Jeddah Club, the Saudi Football League champion, announced on Monday that it had signed a contract with promising Portuguese striker Joao Felipe “Jota” (24 years), for three years, from Scottish Celtic.

Jota is considered one of the most prominent stars of the Portugal youth team, and he occupies the left wing position. He joined the ranks of Benfica and was crowned league champion with him in 2019, before joining Celtic last summer, following playing on loan in its ranks in the 2021-2022 season, and before that with Valladolid, Spain, in the 2020-2021 season.
Jota, with Celtic, won the league title in 2022 and 2023, and the League Cup and the local cup in 2023.
