For the third day of the Rotary Cup championship, the ASSP traveled to Miquelon to meet the ASM. Both teams had won their first game. Once once more, they mightn’t decide.
The match started in the mist on Saturday July 1 at 2:45 p.m. at the Stade de l’Avenir in Miquelon. The ASM received the ASSP as part of the third day of the Rotary Cup.
The match was very close: 1 everywhere at the end of the first period with goals scored by Endika Alvarez and Hugo Gaspard.
In the second half, Miquelon striker Hugo Gaspard converts a penalty. The ASSP comes back to score thanks to the successful penalty of Maël Kello at the end of the match.

Final score: 2 everywhere. This result satisfies Thibault Matusiak, the assistant coach of the Greens, who thus retain the lead in the general classification of this championship with a 3-point lead. “We expected a lot of adversity coming here. We knew the match would not be easy. Our priority was above all not to lose, so coming back with the points from the draw is already a source of satisfaction.“.
On the ASM side, the coach would like to congratulate his players.
It wasn’t easy and we did 90 minutes where there were a lot of possibilities. We created a lot of chances, especially in the first half. We put this team in difficulty.

The next match will take place on Saturday July 8 as part of the first round of the Coupe de France at the Girardin stadium. It will oppose ASIA to ASM. The match will be broadcast live on La 1ere and will be commented on by Claudio Arthur.
