Acts of urban violence take place in Córdoba and in some cases in unexpected places. It was a Sunday night with good weather and ideal to enjoy with the family in any of the public spaces in the Capital.
However, in the Levalle square in the San Vicente neighborhood, none of this happened, since two groups of adolescents staged a fight in that place, forcing people with children to quickly move away from the area.
According to the comments of the neighbors present in the place, out of nowhere the young people began to hit each other and hurt each other. One of them was left lying on the ground and some wanted to help him, but the others did not allow it.
Only two police officers tried to contain the situation, but it all ended with outbursts of the people who were in the square, according to the Vivir en San Vicente Instagram account, “It seemed like a pitched battle. I had never seen anything like it. The children who were playing were crying out of fear,” a neighbor told this outlet.
In the Jardín neighborhood, another fight with more than 80 boys involved
Meanwhile, it was also known this Monday that a similar situation occurred at the other end of the city, in this case in the Jardín neighborhood. On Sunday followingnoon, on Elías Yofre avenue, a sector with intense commercial activity and a shopping mall in the middle of that street, a group of at least “80 to 100 boys”, according to testimonies from neighbors, arrived at the place and they started a fight between what would be antagonistic gangs.
But also, in the midst of all this, there were piranha robberies, outbursts, furniture breakage and even damage to parked vehicles. “It happens every weekend, we are unprotected,” one of the affected merchants told Cadena 3, who preferred not to reveal his identity.
