A moped driver received numerous ads on Sunday in Thalgau. The boy wanted to avoid a police check and started doing sometimes high-risk driving manoeuvres.

A police traffic patrol noticed a moped near the Jet filling station in Thalgau on Sunday because the vehicle’s license plate was mounted in such a way that it might not be read.

When the two-wheeler driver noticed the police officers, he “attempted to get away from the officers by making several dangerous driving maneuvers” (police report). All attempts by the officers to stop were ignored by the driver and he continued his escape.

He raced through the premises of the gas station and then continued on an unpaved road at what appeared to be excessive speed. The driver drove past several residential buildings and, according to the police, significantly endangered a child who was on the street.

The driver was found at his home address. Nine technical faults were found on the vehicle (the most serious faults: heavy oil loss and insufficient lighting, vehicle speed 84 km/h).

The number plate and the registration certificate were temporarily removed from the driver. The police filed several reports.
