Al Omrane Group’s Activity Report and Action Plan for 2023: Meeting Highlights and Future Development Prospects

Rabat – The Minister of National Territorial Development, Urban Planning, Housing and City Policy, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, chaired, Monday, June 26, 2023, a meeting of the Group’s Supervisory Board Al Omrane in the presence of the members of the Supervisory Board, or their representatives, as well as several managers of the Departments concerned. The agenda concerned the examination of the Holding’s activity report for the year 2022 and the action plan for the year 2023.

In her opening address, Ms. El Mansouri, also Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Holding Al Omrane, declared that “this Board comes at an important moment in the life of this institution invested with the strategic mission of active contribution in the socio-economic development of the Kingdom as the armed wing of the State to carry the action of the Ministry in terms of urban planning, development and housing intended for categories of targeted populations”, reports a press release from the Ministry of National Territorial Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and City Policy

“The Al Omrane Group is called upon to prepare to operate in a competitive market, which requires being more attentive to household expectations in terms of quality and meeting deadlines,” she added.

Indeed, this Council comes at an important time for the sector, which the government is ensuring to support and relaunch through several incentive measures. “The Group’s vision, guidelines and development prospects should be established in perfect alignment with the High Royal Guidelines and the government program aimed at consolidating the social State which guarantees the constitutional right to decent housing and ensures territorial development. sustainable and united”, underlined the Minister.

In this respect, Ms. El Mansouri noted that “the Al Omrane group is called upon to further revitalize its action to improve its operational efficiency in order to guarantee the completion of its current programs and projects under the best conditions. It is also called upon to revisit its strategy, its positioning and its action with the aim of defining new orientations and more ambitious development prospects and a business model reflecting the new vision of the group, in perfect alignment with the orientations of the supervisory Ministry. from the National Dialogue on Housing and Urbanism”.

In addition, the Minister insisted on the success of this national project, while calling for public action to be part of a perfect alignment of the actors on all the orientations which place the citizen at the heart of public policies, and advocate integrated and convergent actions by all stakeholders.

The Board then examined the achievements of the Al Omrane Group for the year 2022 and its action plan for the year 2023 as well as the outline of the three-year plan 2024-2026.

To this end, in 2022 the Group achieved a turnover of 4.34 billion dirhams and was able to mobilize an investment of 4.85 billion dirhams, thus enabling the construction of 13,905 units and the completion of 19,782 on its own. and through partnerships. At the level of urban restructuring and upgrading activities, the works benefited 76,301 families at the level of completions and 59,161 families for construction starts.

Regarding the Action Plan for the year 2023, the Group forecasts a turnover of 4.21 billion Dirhams, and investments which should reach 4.37 billion Dirhams. These will allow the programming of the construction of 14,723 new production units in-house and with partners and 60,123 urban upgrading units. For completion, 22,264 new production units will be produced and 71,103 urban upgrading units.

In view of the indicators presented, the Supervisory Board urged the Group to embark on a new trajectory, in particular by rethinking its economic model and consolidating its position as a major player with a national dimension and strong regional and territorial roots. , to perfect its instruments and intervention processes, to contribute to enhancing the quality of the ecosystem in connection with its activities, to further revitalize its action to guarantee the successful completion of its current programs and projects under the best conditions to ensure a rapid and effective recovery of its intervention system and to establish a relationship of transparency, quality and proximity, in particular with the citizen.

At the end of its work, the Supervisory Board, following discussion, validated the Group’s 2023 budgets and its action plan for the year 2023, the press release said.

This meeting of the Supervisory Board was followed by the holding of the ordinary general meeting of the Al Omrane group.
