The artist disappeared on the set, completely forgetting regarding the agreements with the theater. An invitation to the Maly Theatre, says Petrenko, is a great honor for any young artist. Only three graduates from his course were invited to the troupe that year.
“And as a result, they released me for one painting, for a second, for a third. Many have already begun to shrug their shoulders – are you going to work in the theater or not? And I always had a practically assembled suitcase. As a result, it was decided to leave, ”Igor said regarding his dismissal.
Petrenko does not regret anything, because at the dawn of his career he managed to work with real masters: Nikolai Lebedev, Pavel Chukhrai, Alexander Khvan and Bogdan Stupka. The artist believes that at the beginning of his creative path he went through a “serious school”.
A few years ago, Igor Petrenko nevertheless returned to the stage of the Maly Theater. Recently, the artist had another premiere – Dr. Bormental in “The Heart of a Dog” by M. A. Bulgakov.
