Ukraine will be ready to resolve the conflict with Russia through diplomacy when the Armed Forces of Ukraine reach the internationally recognized borders of the country, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to RBC, at a meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Zelensky stressed that the line of contact, as it was on February 24, 2022, is “not our borders.” “Therefore, we emphasize once once more: Ukraine will be ready for this or that format of diplomacy when we are really on our borders. On our real borders in accordance with international law,” Zelensky said. The 1991 borders include not only the southeast of Ukraine, but also Crimea.

In turn, Sanchez, speaking in the Verkhovna Rada, said that “only Ukraine can set the terms and conditions for peace talks,” El Pais reports. The prime minister also announced the provision of assistance to Kyiv for 55 million euros and wished him success in the counteroffensive.
