The multinational company Apple has announced that it will no longer offer the My Photo Stream service, an album that provided access to the latest photos taken with a mobile device, from the end of July. Other solutions exist to keep your photos on your phone or tablet.

My Photo Stream has stopped saving snaps since June 26, and its content will officially be lost as of July 26. Millions of users are affected by this change, according to the daily “The Mirror”.
“My Photo Stream photos are already stored on at least one of your devices. Therefore, as long as you own the device containing the originals, you will not lose any photos as part of this process,” Apple said in a support article on its website.
To prevent this loss, iPhone users will need to go to the Photos app, Albums section, then My Photo Stream section to save them all to the phone or tablet directly.
For an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, choose the photos you want to save, then tap the Share button, before selecting the Save Image option.
In the case of a Mac computer, select the ones you want to save and drag them into the photo library.
Apple has reportedly hinted that it will replace the My Photo Stream storage option with iCloud Photos, which is free for up to 5GB of storage but requires a premium subscription, according to information from “CBS News.” iCloud is “the best way to keep the photos and videos you take on all your devices up to date,” the company said in the support article.
