Provisions: This meeting was marked by the presentation of major projects and actions carried out in favor of architects in the region in order to help them carry out their missions according to the legal and regulatory standards prescribed for them.

The Regional Council of the Order of Architects (CROA) of the Tangier area has just held its general meeting to inform professionals of the work accomplished during the previous year and the files in progress by this institution. Chaired by Chakib Benabdellah, president of the CNOA, this general assembly, whose activities took place in the presence of the presidents of the regional councils of Agadir, Meknes and Tetouan, as well as the main partners of the CROA of Tangier, was marked by the presentation of the most important novelties of the public procurement decree, planned to be implemented from September 1st. “These new provisions will significantly modify the method of awarding public projects to architects,” said Dalila Akdim, vice-president of the regional council for the Tangier zone.

For his part, Mr. Benabdellah expressed the great dynamism of the CROA of Tangier. The regional council has always been very mobilized “in favor of architects and the built environment, both at the regional level and at the national level where its participation in the files has been particularly active”, he insisted on recalling.
For his part, Mokhtar Mimoun, president of the CROA of Tangier, highlighted the major projects and actions carried out in favor of the architects of the region in order to help them carry out their missions according to the legal and regulatory standards prescribed for them. On the other hand, he announced a series of investigations in progress which aim to identify the offenders, to characterize the faults or offences, thus making it possible to put everyone before their responsibility. Mr. Mimoun wanted, in addition to these necessary coercive measures, to expose the preventive and incentive action of the council in favor of the architects. This makes it possible “to offer architects in the region access to public procurement by negotiating agreements with institutional clients”, he said, while insisting on “the need to upgrade of Law 16/89 in order to be able to cope with the evolution of the profession”.

Note that this general meeting was marked by the signing of the insurance contract between the CROA of Tangier and an insurance company for the benefit of professionals in the region. “The regional council will bear all the additional health insurance premiums for the benefit of the architects of the region and this within the framework of the works of mutuality provided for by the law governing the profession and within the framework of supporting the major national project. health coverage”, according to a press release issued following the regional assembly.
