In the first half of the year, 235,100 units were patented in the country, 12% more than in the first half of 2022.
The data was provided this Friday by the Association of Automotive Dealers of the Argentine Republic (Acara), according to which in June the registration amounted to 39,407 units, which implied a year-on-year rise of 11.2%, but also a monthly drop of 1.9%
In Córdoba, 4,075 vehicles were patented in June, 6.2% more in the year-on-year comparison, but with a monthly drop of 1%.
In this way, in the first semester Córdoba added a market of 24,963 units, ranking as the third national market (followed by Santa Fe with 20,759 vehicles), with a growth of 8.7% in relation to the period January-June 2022.
For Sebastián Beato, president of Acara, growth is the result of the few alternatives that Argentines have to protect their savings: “Obviously we continue to be one of the most attractive destinations for those who seek to preserve the value of their money. This ability to match the available models with the purchase intention of customers is the key that explains these good figures today and that we project a floor of 430,000 units for 2023.
At present, added the general secretary of the entity, Ricardo Salomé, national models exceed 64% of the market, which explains how the sales ranking was formed.
