Congratulations to Bernadette Geieregger on entering the Federal Council, to the designated Federal Council President Margit Göll and the future club chairman Anton Erber.
St. Pölten (OTS) – On September 21st there will be a number of changes in the state parliament and the federal council. After 15 years in the Lower Austrian state parliament, Martin Schuster switched to the private sector. “I wish Martin Schuster all the best on this new path. For more than 20 years he shaped his hometown Perchtoldsdorf, as well as the district of Mödling and the state of Lower Austria, politically. As spokesman for housing for the People’s Party of Lower Austria and deputy club chairman, many important decisions bear his signature,” says Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister, state chairwoman of the Lower Austrian Employees’ Association (NÖAAB).
Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister also congratulates Marlene Zeidler-Beck, who is taking over the vacant seat in the state parliament. Instead of her, the youngest mayor in Lower Austria is moving into the Bundesrat. “With Bernadette Geieregger, the Federal Council will have a particularly strong voice. In her home town of Kaltenleutgb, she already shows that she is an implementer who tackles challenges and always finds a solution. As sad as it is that Martin Schuster is leaving state politics, I am also sure that the district of Mödling will continue to be so well represented with Bernadette Geieregger,” Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister is certain.
In the Bundesrat there is another positive change for the NÖAAB. Federal Councilor Margit Göll was designated President of the Federal Council. She is scheduled to take up this post on January 1, 2024. “Margit Göll can look back on many years of political experience. Especially as mayor, she regularly proves that she is always looking for something that connects,” reports the NÖAAB state chairwoman.
There will also be a change for Anton Erber, member of the state parliament from the Scheibbs district. He takes over the function of deputy club chairman from Martin Schuster. “Toni Erber has been politically active since a young age and is the ideal choice for the deputy of club chairman Jochen Danninger,” says NÖAAB state chairman Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister.
