Daniel Passerini and Rodrigo de Loredo were willing to debate before the elections for mayor of Córdoba on July 23.
Both recalled that there is an ordinance, not yet regulated, that requires the holding of a public debate.
Passerini explained that “the ordinance is new.” “We should release it, because it was made a month before the 2019 elections. It was not regulated, but it must be complied with,” he told Cadena 3.
“Yes, we are going to debate,” he assured while indicating that “it is for all the candidates”
“So it seems to me that it is a democratic tool and a requirement, an institutional issue, that must be respected,” added the candidate of Hacemos Unidos por Córdoba.
From Loredo to Passerini: “don’t get the taste of the mayor’s office”
For his part, De Loredo stated that “there is an ordinance” that “is. a drop in the ocean, which has an institutional requirement”.

“Córdoba needs many more. For this reason, today we are presenting a set of initiatives in this regard, so that, in addition to mandatory debates, there are fixed dates for elections, PASO (primaries), balloting, ‘Clean File’ and that government advertisements cannot have the personal name of the ruler”, proposed the radical leader.
“With what happened on Sunday, the best thing we can think of is to raise the bar and, of course, we are going to debate, even more so if an ordinance requires it,” the candidate of Together for the Change.
