They passed the provincial campaign and the elections last Sunday. Pending the result of the final scrutiny that will surely consecrate him as governor-elect, Martín Llaryora has now become fully involved in the municipal campaign of the city of Córdoba, with strong criticism of the candidate for opposition mayor Rodrigo de Loredo, from Juntos por el Cambio.

In the midst of the complaints raised by the provincial scrutiny, the mayor of the capital accused the opposition candidate Luis Juez and De Loredo of prolonging the debate over the result of last Sunday in order to “muddy” the campaign for the municipal elections in the Capital on the 23rd of July.

“Many things were said in bad faith, because they are still campaigning, thinking regarding the elections in the Capital. In the province, the elections are organized by the Judiciary. The Electoral Tribunal is the one that has to give explanations of what happened with the scrutiny last Sunday. The people of Cordoba, my political space and I were the most affected by this situation. We won an election and we mightn’t celebrate,” emphasized Llaryora, in an exclusive interview with La Voz, which will be seen in full next Saturday, on the Voz y voto program broadcast by El Doce.

With strong support for the pro-government candidate Daniel Passerini, who will launch his candidacy this Friday, Llaryora questioned De Loredo with unusual harshness, and also his rival last Sunday, Luis Juez, who in recent days made serious complaints once morest the ruling party. For example, he blamed him for delivering drugs in exchange for votes without making a formal complaint.

“With this drug issue, I think they are threatening me. I’m going to make all the cops go through the narcotest. I will also insist that the Army work in the fight once morest drug trafficking. I go in depth on this topic. They are not going to intimidate me. As governor, I will accompany all the complaints once morest drug trafficking. I’m not just talking regarding Judge, but also regarding De Loredo, who spoke lightly regarding this issue,” said the mayor of the capital.

Pointing to the opposition mayoral candidate, Llaryora accused De Loredo of being linked to Suoem, the union of municipal workers.

“Half of the Suoem are judges and the other half are radicals, because they were employees who entered into those efforts. When I had to advance once morest Suoem, we actually took an hour of work out of it, I did it alone. De Loredo (he was a councilor) voted once morest that measure. Many speak, but when you have to put what you have to put, they are erased. Also when I fired a municipal employee who shot people with a mortar. It was not easy, but now some speak and they were erased at the time, ”questioned Llaryora, in the direction of the radical candidate.

In this sense, the mayor exposed what will surely be the main axis of the campaign of the ruling party in the Capital.

“First of all, I want to thank the support of the residents in the Capital. Without that support, he would not be the next governor. We work together to improve the city. The neighbors can see it. If I am going to be the next governor, why are the people of the capital going to vote for a candidate from another party, if we are on the same team with Daniel Passerini. To continue on this path, they have to leave this team that has improved the city,” argued Llaryora.

The mayor referred to De Loredo once more, when he made an accusation that he will probably repeat during the municipal campaign, which is predicted to be harsh.

“I have no doubt that Suoem will vote for De Loredo. If he wins, the guild will once once more rule the city. We work as a team. The ideal would be for me as governor to continue working in tune with Passerini, who is from my team. It would be a problem for the residents of Córdoba if tensions between the governor and the mayor of the Capital returned, as has already happened, ”he insisted.

Llaryora also remarked that the list of candidates for Hacemos Unidos in the Capital is made up of leaders from different parties.

“The Cordovan party that we did at the provincial level that led us to victory is also reflected in the list in the Capital. Passerini leads Javier Pretto, who was the president of the PRO, as a vice-intendent candidate. There are also candidates for radical, neighborhood councilors and from different social sectors,” concluded Llaryora, with strong support for the candidate for pro-government mayor.
