Three years following its launch, the “TousAntiCovid” application will no longer be updated from this Friday. This announcement marks the end of a chapter for the French who have known this tool in the context of the fight once morest the Covid-19 pandemic, reports Le Parisien.
Launched in 2020, the application was named “Stop Covid” before being renamed six months later. It was used to keep the health pass of millions of French people in order to easily allow them to enter restaurants, cinemas or even to travel abroad. You might also edit your travel certificates and declare your illness there to notify people in contact.
Always usable app
But with the end of the epidemic, the application was no longer really useful. “We had always said that when the health crisis was behind us, we would stop this kind of tool”, explains one of the people who worked on the application. If officially, the developers say “think regarding the sequel”, unofficially, it seems that this is indeed the end of “TousAntiCovid”.
The app will still be downloadable and usable, but it will no longer receive updates. Users will be able to continue to store their vaccination documents there in order to travel to the few countries that still require a vaccination pass. The Ministry of Health also advises all users to keep each of their certificates present in the application in paper or PDF format.
