The former dean of the Heart Institute refuted this myth, stressing that a recent study conducted in the United States of America denied aspirin its ability to prevent blood clots.
He explained that the researchers of the study also found that taking aspirin for the elderly without consulting a specialist may negatively affect their health, as it exposes them to some diseases.
