The prices of gold and bullion items witnessed a noticeable increase during the past days, following an unexpected decline following the Cabinet’s decision to allow Egyptians coming from abroad to enter gold without customs tax.
Gold prices following Eid
Hani Milad, head of the General Division for Gold and Jewelry at the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, attributed the reasons for the instability of gold prices to the sudden decline or rise.
The General Division of Gold and Jewelry of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce announced a new increase in the value of gold artifacts within the goldsmiths’ transactions, by 10%, to be implemented starting next July following the blessed Eid Al-Adha.
