Provided by three buses, this airport shuttle serves 12 main bus stops. In terms of fares, Alsa, the public transport company, has set a one-way aerobus ticket at 50 DH and a round trip at 80 DH.
No more hassles related to the search for a means of public transport connecting the city of Agadir to Al Massira airport, which welcomed more than 1.7 million passengers in 2022 (2 million in 2019). From now on, tourists who choose to stay in the capital of Souss can take, as is the case in other tourist towns, an aerobus line. The official launch of this airport shuttle was carried out last week, at the wilaya of the Souss-Massa Region, through the mobilization of three buses by the company Alsa, delegate of the collective transport of people by bus in Greater Agadir. In total, the public line serves 12 main stops. The most important of them are located at the level of the tourist and seaside area.
50 DH for a one-way ticket
The aerobus serves several hotel and tourist establishments passing through the towns of Inezgane, Dcheira Al Jihadia and Ait Melloul before arriving at its terminus, Agadir Al Massira airport. The company Alsa, a delegate company for urban public transport, has set the one-way fare at 50 DH and the return fare by aerobus at 80 DH. According to Alsa, the ticket can be used for a free return since its validity is 15 days from the date mentioned on the ticket. Overall, departures are provided every hour from the airport, until 1am. As a reminder, before filling this void by implementing this line, several low-cost companies tried to position themselves on this express airport shuttle service. As a reminder, this additional service was previously conditional on a reservation, in addition to the plane ticket. The observation is the same for tourists who buy their packages from incoming agencies, whose tourist transport service by bus or minibus is included, in addition to the price of the taxi for those visiting the destination.
Commissioning planned for this year
It should be noted that the public passenger transport service by bus in Greater Agadir has been provided since September 2010 by the company Alsa City Agadir, under a delegated management contract. This contract was concluded for a period of 15 years, on a perimeter covering the territorial communities of Greater Agadir, in particular the Prefectural Council of Agadir Ida Outanane, the urban municipality of Agadir, the Prefectural Council of Inezgane Ait Melloul, the commune of Inezgane and those of Dcheira Jihadya and Ait Melloul.
After the start of work on the 1st line of the BHNS, and with the expiry (in 2025) of the delegated management contract with the current operator, SDL Agadir Mobilité launched a study to restructure the bus networks, with a redefinition of the global network around the BHLS line. It also implemented the billing system for the first high-level service bus line (BHNS) in the city of Agadir. The acquisition of the necessary ticketing for conventional buses is not part of this service. It will be the subject of a contractual investment program of the new delegated management contract for the public transport service, encompassing BHLS and conventional buses, and the acquisition of which will be carried out by the future operator. The launch of this call for tenders (for the delegated management of the public transport service) is scheduled for 2023, with the implementation, from 2024, of the new contractual investment program.
